Juicing has become a big part of a healthy lifestyle; it’s a trend that has taken off and proved that it’s here to stay. And while there’s no doubt that drinking your 5 a day can be beneficial, it’s not as simple as blitzing up all your favourite fruits. So what are the benefits of a juice cleanse and are you doing it the right way?

If you’re not a fan of your greens but are determined to include them in your diet, throw in a few berries or a banana to enhance the taste, but don’t go overboard. You can also enhance the flavour without the sugar by using spices like ginger.

With healthy eating and drinking comes trends and fads and juicing is no exception. Activated charcoal has been praised globally, and now you can find it in everything from toothpaste to face masks to juices. But be wary of these types of trends. While it may not be all bad, there is not sufficient enough research to suggest if it really offers any benefits at all. However, trends like CBD oil might just tick all the right boxes.

The oil is made from cannabidiol – a non-psychoactive molecule found in cannabis. Its said to help with anxiety, as well as being a natural pain relief. If you have a busy day ahead, a blend of nutritious vegetables and a pinch of CBD oil might be the winning ticket to help you to have a positive outlook and make sure you’re focused.
